I have heard stories of people who have gone entire double deck shoes winning or pushing every single hand. I believe VegasMonkey told of such a time at Bellagio turning $500 into $100K. Being at a full table or a table by yourself also makes a dramatic difference as the amount of hands will change a lot.

I personally can remeber winning 8 or 9 in a row. I also distinctly remember losing 9 in a row when I was pressing my bet each time. That was an expensive mistake.

A couple years ago at Main Street Station, I was playing two hands, lost both hands, 14 times in a row. A total of 28 hands, no pushes, all losses, in a row. The streak covered almost three double deck deals.

The most hands in row I won was 12, six deck shoe. Pushed next hand and won a couple more hands.

Most two-deck games have about 60 cards in play....average # cards per player, per hand is close to 2.5.
So, with just you & the dealer, that's going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 total hands per shuffle.
With no doubles, no splits and no blackjacks, you win $120 flat-betting $10, assuming you win every hand.

    My personal experience?
On double-deck, I have never won more than 6 hands in a row...& I've been playing that game for over 30 years.
Once, while playing a 6-deck shoe at the IP, I won or pushed every single hand for the entire shoe... just one other player... must have been about 200 cards in play, so about 30 total hands or so. It was remarkable. First and only time that has ever happened for me.

On double deck, I have lost 12+ hands in a row on multiple occasions, always playing basic strategy.
As a general rule, when playing basic strategy, you can expect to win about 44% of the hands. The dealer will win about 48%...and you'll push about 8%.
But remember - those percentages will, eventually, pan out that way, but only after tens-of-thousands of hands have been played.
For any given session, no matter how perfectly you play, you can still get your ass kicked, (or, possibly, go on a 30-hand winning streak).
    Comes with the territory.

Had a run of 14 in a row and 16 in a row. One of them, I started with $500 in promo chip. Colored up about 90 mins later with 19k.

Then went to a higher limit table and dropped 7k. Went to roulette and hit one spin for 42k.
