Fantasy Springs Indio, CA Don McLean concert & Aqua Soleil Hot Springs and Spa 7/12 to 7/15

Arrived at Fantasy Springs Casino last night. Was too sleepy to start the TR, woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to write the TR now. We gambled very little last night, mostly watching other people play and finding out what slots machines and VP machines it has since we haven't been here for a while. Dined at a Chinese restaurant name Joy. It is not very authentic Chinese food, but it was not too bad. We witnessed a big Buffalo Gold win with 20 games left after he got 15 gold heads, there must be at least 30 people watching him. He ended up with $3340 with only $1.20 bet. It was exciting just to watch.
We will go down for the free Brunch a little later and start gambling. Hope we will be as lucky as that guy. They don't allow people to take pictures of the wins here, so I am not sure if we will have pictures for my TR. I will try to take pictures of a good win if they are not looking. We will watch the Don McLean concert tonight. Will update my TR tonight after the concert.

Just finished Brunch buffet that was for invited guest onlt, I actually like this buffet better than Wynn buffet, might not have big selection and beautiful atmosphere but the brisket is so tender and flavorful, fruit is fresh and dessert is good too and my husband said the becon and eggs are really good. Will update on the gambling later.

MissL7777, Our hotel room is on the 11th floor, just below the 12th floor lounge, our room is facing west so we had a chance to look out the window around sunset, it was still too bright to look at it at the time. Had to rush to the concert. But I took a picture of it anyway.

 

Too tire to update gambling result last night,. Lost a few hundreds, I guess it is not too bad since we got 2 nights of hotel, 2 brunch buffet and 2 concert tickets out of it. All lost are by my husband, he had no luck at all yesterday. I had a quad four in BP but forgot to take a picture, I would have lost a couple of hundreds if it wasn't for the last minute win on mighty cash for $270. Ok, we have arrived at Aqua Soleil Hot Springs and Spa a little too early, they let us stay at their recreation room while they clean the room. We love the room, worth every penny. There are 3 flat screen TVs, one in front of the bed, one in front of the sofa and one in front of the mineral pool. Here are some pictures.

 

We just came back from this mini vacation. So I am going to do a recap on this trip.
1. Casino. Fantasy Spring casino seem to be okay, we saw a few people winning jackpots including that incredible Buffalo Gold that ended with over $3300 on only $1.20 bet. I guess we are just not lucky, especially my husband. He lost most of the money on Video Poker even on fullpay
Bonus poker, not one single quad. I had a quad 4 but still only winning a few dollars at the end, saved by Might Cash win.
2. Hotel room, very small, 300 sq ft. room, we have not stay in room that small for a long time, maybe over 20 years, but the room is clean and has every thing we need including coffee pot and coffee, but no fridge.
3. Don McLean concert. He is a very good singer but more like a poet, his songs are so poetic. He is 73 years old but still a good singer, he sang 1-1/2 hour non-stop, ended the concert with singing "American Pie" when people stood up and sang along. What a nice ending to the concert.
4. Desert Hot Springs mineral pool. This is where we had a nice relaxing stay instead of the excitement of casino. Booked a suite with its own 10x6 mineral pool, very nice pool with jets. Both my husband and I enjoyed it very much. I don't know about other benefits of the mineral water, but our skin certainly feel softer and smoother, no among of lotion can achieve such nice result on the skin.
