    We all party!
Our hero returns to Vegas for the first time since late 2019 because like Marlon Brando, I received an offer that I couldn’t refuse … CET is giving me - the rollercoaster guy with a theo no higher than $3 - a suite at Paris and $4,000 in free play. I mean, like wuutttt

This is actually a bucket-list trip for me because it involves driving my Tesla Model Y on a roadtrip from NYC to Vegas, then onto Moab to visit Arches Nat’l Park and Canyonlands NP, then to Monument Valley, the Four Corners, and Page Az to visit Antelope Canyon. My brother and I will be staying at campsites, RV parks, and hotels along the way.

After the trip, and if I’m still alive, I’ll likely head back to Southern California with my brother and spend a week with family before swinging back to Vegas to meet up with @newmans for a few days of eat eat eat.

I leave home tomorrow morning to start a leisurely 4 day drive to Vegas. I plan to eat eat eat some smoky BBQ in either St Louis or Kansas City (or both). Any advice or recommendations on where to hit are appreciated.

    Can’t wait!

When in KC, my group always go to Q39 for great bbq. Their burnt ends are great.

In St. Louis, I recommend Bogart’s for bbq. It’s in a “hip” part of downtown. They do run out of food, so plan on going earlier in the day if this is your choice.

Also Salt n Smoke on Old Main Street in St. Charles. Fun area. Also on I-70, so on your way to KC.

I don't have a strong BBQ opinion, I just like KC BBQ over St. Louis style.

Is St Louis style bbq as pathetic as their pizza? I'm happy to not even know

Nothing can be as bad at STL pizza.

    Provel.

I think St. Louis BBQ is worse than the pizza. I don't like the BBQ sauce. And I like baby back over St. Louis style ribs.

    That was it. Provel.

I do like STL as a town and have lots of friends there and some even own some great restaurants... thankfully none of them serve pizza.. :)

In terms of food, not really. People like "The Hill" if you like Italian food. I never bothered with it though.

St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Arch are the best things probably. I lived there a lot of my life, and I can't suggest anything that great for tourists. When I go back to visit, my biggest outing usually involves a casino.

But St. Louis is probably the Ultimate X capital of the world. Hahaha

@Figment76 probably would know more interesting things about St. Louis than I would.

Budweiser tour was good in ST Louis. Clydesdales are awesome . I’d never go up in that arch again. Just a bit too enclosed for me. Ted Drews frozen custard wasn’t bad.

    Take their money !

Fried Ravioli has St Louis origins I think? That's edible at least lol

I agree, arrived and left from St Louis in 2007, the Downtown was pretty clean , but we were not really excited !
At the time, the city was pretty unsafe ..

    I was sure I missed something :)
