    Our annual Merry Christmas to ourselves trip is almost here again. Mrs JSR and I will depart San Diego sometime before 6 am to head north on I-15 and arrive hopefully < 5 hours later in Vegas.

    Staying at Luxor in a Tower One Bedroom King Suite which we paid ~$50 each night to upgrade. Total with resort fee is only $179 for two nights.

    Plans are:

    Take our daily walk up the strip each morning. Definitely will make a stop at Bellagio for the Conservatory holiday display.

    Lots and lots of VP hopefully.

    Catch some NFL on Sunday as I am in the semi-finals of my work fantasy league.

    Bet a horse or two on Saturday.

    Take in the hockey pregame festivities on Sunday afternoon.

    Dinner at Stripsteak on Sunday night. The rest of the food decisions will most likely be spur of the moment.

    Mrs JSR wants to buy a “bath bomb”?!?!? at one of the stores in Mandalay Place to use in the HUGE tub in our room.

    Have a safe and uneventful trip up old I-15. I left SD before 0600 just last Saturday, with a short stop in Barstow for gas and coffee. Got to checkin by 1130. May Fortune smile on you and yours.

    It’s just a baseball sized ball that dissolves in the bath. There are too many kinds to mention but they smell pretty good and are relaxing

    Do not, I repeat do not get the seaweed or gold glitter bath bomb. You don't want to do that to housekeeping and cleaning it yourself is no fun!
