BS - Spring Fling 2017 Recap

Preface

I hope you all enjoyed the videos. This will be my traditional detailed recap, to the best of my ability for this first part.

@MrsBS and I started off dropping the kids off with her dad and took off to the airport. From parking to terminal, 15 minutes, there are some pluses of a small airport. Checked three bags and TSAPre continues to pay for itself. So quick and so convenient.

Earlier I realized we forgot to check in... (I never do early bird.) I finally checked in and @MrsBS and I had B 44 B 45.



Per usual I went up to the counter and got us upgraded.



Money. Well. Spent.



On the ground in just under 3 hours. Pretty chill flight. There was a little bit of turbulence, but nothing crazy. Took a bit to get our first drink... but we were prepared.





Had to chug the second one.

This was the best introduction I have had to visiting Cosmo. My new host has been AMAZING. Hands down the best experience I have ever had. The whole Cosmo team did it right.





Back Entrance sped up…





We made it to the room and @MrsBS threw on her night attire. I came straight from work so I remained in a suit…



We went up to 5693 to @broncofn’s wraparound suite and met up with him, @SDSteve, @DirtyShirley and Mr. DS. Great to see everyone, I grab quick beer, for no good reason and we chug it and head down to the M&G.





@VegasMonkey, @VegasChic and @Ainsworth certainly started off the weekend for everyone positively. It was so well done, even down to the LONG pours of the vodka. I know I met so many people, it was almost hard to keep track of who all I met. I am going to try and remember the names I can remember… Forgive me if I do not remember your name, I was very drunk. I would also appreciate you telling me we met.

This is the exact moment I do not remember anything for the rest of the night.

@MrsBS tells me we went into HL to win $500 for the Slot Pulls… Dumped $1k.

Go into the slot pulls…. See video for the action. It was clearly a lot of fun, FUCK was I loud or what. I have to control myself next time… I apparently pushed the button a lot. Sorry if I took someone’s turn…

@SDSteve and I hit a hand pay. @WOF-KING and I failed at winning any substantial amount of money.

To the best of my knowledge I was about even after the handy with @SDSteve. I proceeded to go play BJ to win some money, I think. I went into HL and blew multiple thousands of dollars with zero memory other than these few pics I took.





I was in full degenerate mode a mode almost everyone on here has been in. All of my friends and @MrsBS tried to get me to stop. Sadly Iwas destined to blow it all. I finished the night down $8k, which by the next morning I thought was $7k. My planned budget for the trip was $4k with $3k in reserves and $3k in reserves-reserves.

Now, I will leave a little bit of positivity for this TR… It. Gets. Better. This was the ABSOLUTE LOW of the trip.

I even cashed in my lucky.

It gets wayyyyy better.

Part 2 of ???



Waking up. Getting a lot of sleep. Not remembering anything. Is that Vegas or what? Well, hold the lot of sleep part…

Waking up I felt defeated. I had depleted my expected BR for the trip and was working on getting additional bullets to make it through the next three days of Vegas.

I was not ready to call it a come back. I went downstairs and found my extra $3k that was in reserves reserves and proceeded to win back the $7k I lost the night before. One good session. No big deal. So I thought...

Meandered over to Cosmo Sportsbook to find @Hard4 and @SDSteve. @DirtyShirley later showed up.





We charge some tator tot nachos to the room and I order an espresso martini with my free drink ticket. I was not getting the satisfaction I needed at VP so after a $100 loser we were on our way to blackjack.

Needed this hit to win back $70 of my loss…

Dump $1,500 in quick fashion the last $500 much faster than the previous $1k. It was one hand. I get a lowly 15 and hit it vs a dealer 8 and the Jack of hearts lost me that hand after a soft hit on the table.

Then off to HL slots to hit a massive handy real quick and wipe away the previous nights woes…

Then off to craps with friends @Hard4 and @SDSteve. False…

It was clear that I needed to get out of Cosmo.

I went and found another $1k to help me chip out of this massive hole…







Started the strip crawl going through Paris and I was hunting for some unicorn $5 tables on the strip. No dice so we went into Bally’s.

Sit at a BJ table right by Cashier.

Fuck yes, now I am up on Bally’s. Should I retire and never gamble again? Probably, but I kept on.







Go into Cromwell.

I am getting a little excited at all of this winning… I go to the front desk and ask to book a room. They. Can’t. Do. It. At. The. Counter… Ok, whatever.









Go into the habitat for a bit and look for a friend’s brick, no dice. Into the Linq Promenade we go.

Stop at Blarney’s Bar for a quick drink.









Bought @MrsBS a hat along the way. Who wore is better?





Then a quick bite.







Then I have my first decent win of the trip.

Even money is for suckers! I want my 3:2!

Up $814 since @MrsBS and I started our mini strip crawl.

I was able to book the room at Harrah’s while we walked. The lady at the front desk was determined to put us in a suite, if we could wait. But @MrsBS couldn’t keep her pants on after watching my not take even money on that blackjack. We were kinda tired too.





We skipped the nap part all while keeping tabs on our hockey game neither of us knew anything about…



Also discovered @MrsBS was about to have back issues...



We then went to the M&G that @Aaron5 put on… Classy event. Very, very well done. While there I avoided @VegasMonkey pouring me another of his drinks and opted for water this time. Had a nice small conversation with @IP King. Notably he was up and planning to shut it down. Awesome!



Said hello to @newmans and decided to quickly head down to gamble with @RockyBalboa who had just gotten into town. Also, @Hard4 and @SDSteve.

Stop by the PH sports book to watch the Senators put the game away in OT.



We leave @RockyBalboa and head across the street to check out “Rent the Runway.” Which… is closed. Even though there are signs and everything all over…

Oh well… Cash in the sports ticket before we gamble some more. Win another $500.

The day finally had some positive traction. We were winning again. Small wins. They add up. I was in the middle of a heater. $500 at a time…

It was that day according to the driver. I liked it for he change of pace.

Part 3 of ???

After a little nap time @MrsBS and I stuck around the room and relaxed a bit before finally getting ready for our 9:15 dinner reservation at Carbone.





We even took a strip shot in our robes...



The original plan was for a big group dinner to eat at Carbone, but @broncofn wasn't feeling well so in the end I was glad I kept our reservation for two.



As I waited for @MrsBS to get ready I ran down and bought in for $1,500 and cashed

@SuperPocky was walking through the casino and had the chance to quickly say hi and introduce @MrsBS to him before we finally took a car over to Aria. I didn't want @MrsBS feet to get tired!







We had plenty of time before dinner so I figured I'd win another $500 real quick before dinner...

Sit down at the $100 min DD table closest to the craps tables and proceed to win three hands in a row... $100, $100 and on a $200 bet... BJ!

Short sweet just delightful if it were that simple every time.

When we arrived at Carbone I saw @alexanbo out front and shook his hand and we came to the conclusion that no one told him Carbone for the group was cancelled...

He was nice enough to snag this pic before @MrsBS and I went inside.

The wine was delicious. We had the somm pick us out something under $200 that would pair well with our meal. Smart man getting that little extra... By the time the cherry pepper ribs were going to come out we were stuffed. I asked to cancel them, but as the professional the waiter said there was no way.

Rather than argue it I took it in stride and we ended up giving the bag of leftovers to a homeless person on the bridge. @Hard4 had just finished a solo dinner at Carbone at the bar so he went and played baccarat with us at Aria.

We made a stop by LV on the way back to Cosmo... luckily that was an inexpensive trip.









We went in and started to play craps... I loaded up on our rolls and I was a roller short.

I lost $500 pretty quickly and made back $250 or so on the hot shooter. I would have crushed it if I would have been playing his roll my normal way.

We went into HL and I won another $500.

Shortly after @Hard4, @superpockey, @SDSteve, @DirtyShirley and I decided to take a car to get some world famous crab legs. (In my mind.)



We tried to get the driver to take the mansion entrance, which they can rarely pull off. (He couldn't.)









We went into the Mansion and I requested a butler. G and I are on a first name basis now... I appreciated him calling me by name. he already knew what we wanted just needed to know how many orders. At $90 a plate we settled for two orders and an order of potstickers.

As we waiting for our food we all cleaned up on a nice player run at the blackjack table. Almost everyone was a winner. @SDSteve flat bet $100 on player the entire time and won $800. We all split the crab legs paying about $50 each.

We slummed it back to Cosmo and begin to gamble again, almost immediately.

At this point I think I've become an expert on the $500-$600 winner...

At the very end of the night @DirtyShirley and I were the last two standing... we decided to put $300 each into a $0.25 100 play... no dice. A lot of fun though...

Total wins came out to almost $7k for the day… Take away the morning and we won $4k on a Saturday in Vegas…

Just needed to get $4k to get even for the trip…

I hit the local tonight….



It was interesting.

Just went to convert $125 in FP.



This video is about to make you DDB players very sad… I was upset about it too. The last two weeks I get $60 in FP on top of my standard FP and playing DDB I turned that into $40 and $37.50, so today I had a total of $125 and played JoB to fight the variance since I was only going to play ten bets.

Just know, if I had been playing DDB… Things would not have happened like this the whole algorithm would have been different…





This is the best win I have ever had on VP. (I don't play much.)



Took my $500 I brought with me over to BJ to win $250 real quick to complete the $500 win for the day…

I was playing slow $25 per hand on two hands and climbing up I get up to $50 and then I get a 14 then 88 on the next hand dealer had a 6 so I was licking my chops. End up splitting three times and doubling two of them. I am in for $300. All three 8s turn into shit no made hands. Just need the dealer to bust.

6 of hearts for the dagger… BOOOOOO we yelled. Ended up dumping the $500 buy in. I had $240 from my freeplay in my pocket…

$120 on each hand… FUCK IT.

Winner… Run it up to $1,100 and play with the last $100. Nothing exciting just pure winning on my cut.
