Got restricted in vegas - Diamond Plus

    I was seeing if anyone could give me some insight if this is fixable ill try to round it up semi-quick

    1) September downloaded the sportsbook app and got to diamond plus in a few months
    2) booked a couple of free/discounted rooms through the site over a few months
    3) they also reward you a free room ever 5k of tier credits you earn, those expire jan 31st so i booked 6 of those because I earned them and they would expire.
    4) i bet almost daily earn at least 5k in tier credit every month (exclusively on the sports app)

    all of a sudden i can no longer book rooms in vegas while logged into me account, every day is sold out for the rest of the year. All other markets they still offer me comps. Im not looking for a free room or anything but I dont like the fact that they literally wont let me even book a room. Ive talked to a few low level management and they give me a generic answer is that i dont qualify for a discount, but cmon i gamble every day and i wont even let me book a room. even someone who doesnt even gamble get to book a room on the internet. I think i got flagged for booking too many rooms in a short time, but i would like to someday fix the situation, but not sure how to go about it.

    It does sound like you are running up against some sort of limit on reservations in Vegas, if you currently have a bunch of open ones. It would seem like some sort of bug if they didn't even let you book PAID rooms online when you're logged in, unless there was a limit.

    The sportsbook and casino are separate operations, so if you are not doing much in the way of regular gambling, the casinos doesn't have an incentive to comp you rooms. So the explanation you got sorta lines up with that, except that you say you can book outside Vegas and that you already booked a few in Vegas besides the tier nights. I guess another explanation would be if your betting level has dropped recently.

    Will they let you book a paid reservation if you call? I don't think you'll ever find someone that can sort out the system problem (unless someone here has run into the same problem and found a workaround)

    I can call in and book over the phone and those prices are 10-20% more than the basic internet rate (but get the resort fee waived still), I did forget to mention i live in vegas as well maybe that has something to do with it. ill give it a few months. Ive never had a month where ive earned under 5k in tier credits monthly from sports betting, im usually in the 5-7k range monthly.

    Sounds like you might be overcomped in the Vegas market.

    Do you do any gambling, or just sports betting? I’m not sure how the casino rates sports bets, since it’s a separate part of the business. Your comp profile is tied to the casino, so if you aren’t replenishing it, there may not be enough to cover room rates.

    If you have a ton of open reservations, then you may just be beyond the limit of what your comp profile supports.

    which i totally get, but just think I shouldnt get totally blocked out, but yeah 95% sports occasionally a machine or craps..but not very often.

    Did you call and ask why it listed sold out? Even if you were over comped it should list rooms with a pay rate if you have no comp rooms available. Not sure what its set at now, but there was a limit of 4 active reservations in the system for LV market, and for a while during the pandemic they set it down to 1. Hosts could override, but app/website would just stop you from making any more reservations, forget if it was a message or if it listed sold out. There system is also all fubar lately. I had a cancelled reservation all the sudden come back with a new confirmation code a week before the date and some reservations aren't showing up in the app until I add them by look up reservation...wtf
