That's a cool drink but last month when we ate there and Boots ordered it we had a lot of food with our group and that drink takes up a lot of space on the table. :)

Yummmmm- I LOVED the raspberry and passion fruit martini!!! Enough that I was going to see if I could order some in to-go cups (is that a thing?), but server brought the bill before I could ask. It was seriously delish, I'd go back JUST for that drink!!!! Highly recommend!

The Japanese old fashioned is so good I️ had to go hunt for that whiskey to buy for the house.

I wanted to go here last March but the group voted on Momofuku. Going on a solo trip next month and wondered how small are the plates? If going solo, would 2-3 items be too much? Was looking at getting the spicy beef tenderloin and grouper but have no clue if it's too much. Thanks.

I think 2 or 3 would be perfect for solo dining. Of course some are more filling than others.

The black cod dumplings are excellent as well.

The old fashioned reviews have me wanting to go here. Hands down my go to drink, especially one that's well made.

I could eat the spicy beef tenderloin and drink japanese old fashioneds all day. I will absolutely return to Zuma. I second/third/fourth/fifth the others in saying you won't be disappointed if you go there.

I've gotten the rose lychee martini twice and loved it both times.
Also if not mentioned. The black cod.

What is in a Japanese Old Fashioned? Is the spicy beef and the baked potato enough for me to eat? I can’t order a ton of appetizers and sides as then I don’t eat any of my main. So if I were to go to Zuma are those 2 things I want to order more than enough to eat?

Looks pretty basic. Japan produces some pretty fine whiskeys though, so i assume that's the star

The whiskey is the star but the single giant ice cube is key as well. With less surface area compared to cubes it melts more slowly therefore not watering down your drink but still keeping it cold. But they also don’t overdo it on the bitters and sugar which can be done when it’s not a good whiskey or it’s a sloppy bartender.
