Downtown @ MSS 1/12 - 1/15. VP/Slot Porn Pics, Royal?, $5000 Scratcher? & Crab Legs!

Just got back from my most recent trip to Vegas with the gf. We stayed at MSS and the majority of our play was VP at the Boar's Head Bar with some slots mixed in at MSS and The Cal. Overall it was quite a profitable trip with a handful of premium hands/jackpots, not to mention some delicious crab legs and baby back ribs. Nothing beats coming home with more money than you arrived with, especially after expenses!

@Niteshade MSS has been our home base for the past few years. We used to make an occasional trip to the strip but really can't justify going anymore, especially after they started charging for parking. It'll probably take a good show or friends/family to pry us away from downtown because we aren't going willingly

Thanks! I'm so long overdue I should have had at least a couple last year and got nothing at all in 2017...couldn't believe it when it hit especially since it was right after the other $1k win on the dealt quad 3's w/ kicker.

 

It's the most coin-in we've had at MSS so far to date...more in 2 days of gambling than we did the entire 4-day Thanksgiving weekend trip. 5-play poker definitely helps boost those numbers.

 

I definitely agree...I think we had only two $3 scratchers all trip...and I've only hit two $5 scratchers in my lifetime there. Some slot attendants are more anal than others though...from breathing down your neck waiting for you to completely scratch it vs handing it to you and walking away without you even pretending to start scratching it.

I love the idea of the silver card and appreciate your input on this as maximizing our food comps is something we're currently trying to fine-tune. My only concern is we now like to hit the Redwood once a trip and plan on keeping that as a must-do part of our future stays. If the silver card won't cover the Redwood because it's "gourmet" I don't know if we're better off just doing what we're doing now and charging that bill to the room along with maybe one $50 dinner at 777 then using points for any remaining food charges. I figure as long as our food charges to the room are a total of $150-200 for a 2 or 3 night stay they won't bat an eye at taking it off at the end of the trip if we put a minimum of $10k coin-in per day.

Wow...I actually didn't even catch the paytable downgrade on multi-line Bonus Poker. I have L play Bonus because the strategy is so similar to JOB and there's a lot less volatility than DDB. I'll let her know that if she does multi-line she's gotta switch to DDB from now on.
